How to Test Sims 4 Cheats
TestingCheats is the console where you can test your Sims 4 cheats. Enable it by pressing LeftCtrl+Shift+X at the same time and holding until the console pops up. If you’re on the console, press all of the shoulder buttons, four, at once. There’s a white box that’s going to pop up if you do this right, and when it does, simply type “testingcheats on”. If you want to disable the testing cheats, simply repeat the process and type “testingcheats off”.
When you type in the two commands, the console will reply with “Cheats Enabled” or “Cheats Disabled”. There are some other commands, like “testingcheats 1”, “testingcheats yes”, or “testingcheats true”, that will do the same thing if the first one doesn’t work. Once you enable the cheats, they will stay on until you save the game. The following lines are about the things you can do when Testing Cheats is enabled.
Using Cheats on PS4 or Xbox consoles - Obviously, you cannot shift-click on your PlayStation4 or Xbox One. So if you want to enable the testing cheats option here, you will be pressing X+O on the PS4 or the A+B on the Xbox One.
When you’re playing the game, you can shift-click on the Mailbox to access a cheat that will stop the need of decay for a Sim in your house, or the whole neighborhood, and make everybody happy. Traits and Appearance Changes
If you want complete control, including the gender and traits, of your Sim, all you have to do is to type “cas.fulleditmode” with Testing Cheats On while in the Create-A-Sim window. This will allow you to fully change anything about your Sim, including the Gender, the Traits, and so on. This is a much more potent customization setting than the regular, cheatless version.
If you shift-click on NPC Sims, this will bring them into your households. These NPC also need happiness, and you can enable or disable the Need Decay for them if you want to do so, just as you would to your Sim. This is great if your Sim’s date is not going well, and they have to leave, for example, because of boredom or tiredness.
If you shift-click on the Ground, you will be able to Teleport anywhere if you have been there before around your neighborhood. Do the same shift-click on Objects to reset them, if you get them stuck or even broken somehow. Also, if you shift-click on Objects, and they’re dirty, you can make them even dirtier or clean, depending on your choice. All of the objects in the game can be reset regardless of their status, so don’t worry. If one object appears to be bugged, this is the perfect intervention for it.
Sims 4 Cheats for Career, Skills, and Aspirations
The following part of the article focuses on the more common of all cheats from the categories in the subtitle. The ones that are more “hidden”, for lack of a better word, are left for the bottom of the page. For overall cheats, like changing the weather for you Seasons players, or having a Sim pregnant or not, you’ll just have to wait for a little longer.
Make sure you’ve got your testingcheats on before you start putting in these next cheats, as they will most likely not work without it. The cheats for Skills and Career will only work on the selected Sim.
Money X - You can type whatever value you want instead of the X, like 200000 or 10000000, and you will get the exact amount for your family. You can subtract funds with this cheat, as it simply gives you whichever amount you’re asking for. The other money cheat is motherlode, but it’s outdated now thanks to this new function.
Cheats for Aspiration and Satisfaction - If you type in aspirations.complete_current_milestone, you will get the whole satisfaction from getting done the milestone that you’re on, and moving on to the next one automatically. You’re this way one step closer to the Aspiration, and completing it, as well as getting your Reward Trait. Do this enough times and all of your Reward Traits will be filled with satisfaction. With the sims.give_satisfaction_points cheat, you will get the amount of satisfaction equal to the value you’ll enter. Cheats for the Sim’s Career
If you want to cheat on your career levels, first enroll in the wanted Career and then have the testingcheats enabled in the console. Type the careers.promote X cheat, and instead of the X add your Career, such as “accountant” or “painter”, and you’ll see your Sim promoted to the next level of their profession. For multiple words careers, don’t leave any spaces when you put it in.
The next cheat, careers.demote X, will take your Sim back a level in their career. This cheat does not work for you to go back to the branch choices. On the first level of the branch, while you use the demote cheat, you will be fired from your job. Choosing the career of your Sim is important, so make sure you do your homework before you pick one, as it is one of the most important choices you’ll make at the start of the game.
Command Adding and Removing of Cheats
Careers can also be added with the command, using the “careers.add_career careercode”, or be removed by the use of “caeers.remove_career careercode” cheats. These cheats can be used for both teens and adults Sims, and their jobs, but if you’re going for a Freelancing Career, you may encounter bugs. Make sure you’re always backing up your saved game whenever you’re getting ready to try some uncommon things.

Cheats for School
If you want the grades of your Sims to be better, simply enter the “careers.promote gradeschool”, or “careers.promote highschool” cheat into the console. There’s also an option to lower their grades with the “careers.demote gradeschool/highschool” configuration.
Cheats for Skills
The Skill cheat in Sims 4 is “stats.set_skill_level”. In this code, the variables are the skill and the level of it. For an example, you can type “stats.set_skill_level major_astronaut 5”, and automatically your astronaut skill will be set to 5. All levels between 1 and 10 are available. Replace the variables with whatever skill you want, and you’ll have the same result. If this configuration does not work for you for whatever reason, please try “stats.set_skill_level adultmajor_x”, instead of just “major”, for the fitness and minor skills, as well as the skills designed for children.
If you want to be better at handling things, type “stats.set_skill_level major_handiness 10” after you put the testingcheats on. Level 10 on your handiness will immediately pop up. Traits can be put onto Sims the same way Satisfaction Point Rewards can. Also, there are points you can earn from completing many Aspirations that you can also add with cheats. This cheat works by adding or removing some Traits, following the form “traits.equip_trait X” and then “traits.remove_trait X” if you want to get rid of them. Cheats for Relationships
Modify the relations of your Sims with these cheats. One example is the “modifyrelationship yoursimfirst yoursimlast targetsimfirst targetsimlast x relationshiptype”. The type of relationships can either be friendship, LTR_friendship_main or romantic, LTR_romance_main. For the pets, either cats or dogs, use the LTR_simopet_friendship_main, which only works once your pet has a name. The X variable stands for the percentage of the bar, or the strength of the relationship, and can be full, half, or red half, meaning negative. There are tons of relationship names in Sims 4, but the combinations are merely the same and can be positive or negative.

Turning your Sim into a Vampire
If you type “stats.set_stat commodity_BecomingVampire 2160” in the console, you will turn your Sim into a vampire. “Traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire” is making them into a vampire in a second, as the first one is a more “natural approach towards the transformation. If you want to turn your Sim back into a human, simply type ”traits.remove_trait trait_OccultVampire” in the console.
The Vampire Perks
Add the “stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_Occult_VampireXP 1593” and you will have maximum Vampire Rank for your newly made vampire Sim. You can simply do the Ctrl+V from this page and paste the code into your console, and with each paste you will get 2 new Power Points as well.
Cheats for Parenting
With the “Parenthood” pack you’ll discover the new Parenting skill, naturally, which you can obviously cheat at. Simply use “stats.set_skill_level major_parenting X” and enhance your parenting skills as much as you’d like, up to 10.
Valuing the Character
Kids, Toddlers, and Teens can earn experience in things like Character Values, of which there are five. These range from minus 100 to plus 100, so they’re either good or bad. You can set them manually, so when the Sim reaches adulthood, they will get to earn rewards that will reflect their manners, morals, and good behaviour.

Traits for Character Values
When your children and teens grow up into adults, they earn Traits for their character values. If you’ve gotten a bad one, you can remove it with a cheat. There are also cases in which you may have the good traits from all five character values, but can’t equip them as one of the five has a bad score, in which case you can remove it. Here’s the complete list for the Traits you may add to your Sim for their Character Value completion.

“Cats and Dogs” Expansion Cheats
There’s a new way to cheat with this amazing, so beloved Sims 4 expansion, “Cats and Dogs”. You can raise the skills in the expansion’s main traits, like veterinarian or dog trainer, but also unlock things like the Veterinarian Clinic and its perks. You will have to go ahead and enable “testingcheats” first and foremost. For an extra veterinarian, you will then type the “bucks.unlock_perk AdditionalVet_1 true”

Cheats for the Seasons Expansion
There are not many cheats you can use with your Sims 4 Seasons Expansion for career or skills, but you can cheat in order to change things like the weather, by using certain mods. You can find the three cheats for this expansion listed in the Career and Skills.
The StrangerVille Pack Cheats
StrangerVille is a game pack for your Sims 4 that comes with the notable Military Career Chat you can find somewhere above. There’s also a chance for you to use cheats in order to gain evidence with “show hidden objects” while in Buy Mode.
Cheats for the Island Living Pack
The main focus in this pack is the part time jobs cheating, which are fairly easy to do. All you have to do is add the prefix “parttime_” and you can go ahead and upgrade your part time job to its fullest, like “careers.promote parttime_lifeguard”.
