Details

As the main character, you’re brought up in the presence of roguelikes, as you see the roguelites growing all around you. You’re being presented with RogueVania, the illicit child of the modern-day Roguelite, composed off of Rogue Legacy, Enter the Gungeon, Binding of Isaac, Spelunky and so on, as well as the older but cooler MetroidVania, with the Castlevania: SotN and others.

In the game, you’ll face level after level of interconnected storyline, progressing and unlocking your way through each one of them, one more demanding than the last. You’re being incentivised to better explore your surroundings, as there are hidden features and treasures all around you. From the long lines of MetroidVanias that have come before you, make good use of the Dead Cells in your quest to upgrade your weapons, character, and skills.

Features of Dead Cells

- Discover RogueVania - This progressive gameplay where you explore the RogueVania, a world that’s interconnected from one level to the next, is what gives the game its uniqueness and adrenaline rushing features.

- 2D Action - Combat happens on a steady, but fast notion, as you make use of over 50 different weapons, spells, and features. A panic roll will get you back on your feet and out of any trouble.

- Progression - There are many special talents or abilities that, once you have unlocked, are there for you permanently. Sewers, Remparts, the Ossuary, are just some of the paths you can go for. Choose the one that better suits your style.

- Exploring - Do not miss many of the secret rooms, amazing landscapes, or mysteriously hidden passageways. Stroll through towers, breath the air of the sea, and leave no stone unturned.
