In “War of the Chosen”, new content has been added to make it more exciting for you and your faction to save the Earth and eliminate the alien invaders once and for all. But the fight against ADVENT is not easy, as it has never been. New enemies, named the “Chosen”, have the sole purpose of recapturing your Commander.
To counter the powers of the Chosen, new Hero classes have been added with the expansion, as well as new missions and enemies, pristine new environments, as well as a greater strategic side of the general gameplay.
Features of XCOM 2: War of the Chosen
- New threat: The Chosen - As far as enemies go, XCOM has never encountered a more debilitating one than the Chosen. They are ready to capture and interrogate the Commander, and for taking control over him, they’ll stop at nothing in hunting and killing soldiers in order to reach their final, terrible conclusion.
- New threat #2: Spectre - The new aliens named Spectre have the capability of creating XCOM soldiers of dark powers and intentions. They’re all over the battlefield and acting in their attempt to stop you in your pursuit to save Earth. Also, don’t forget about the new ADVENT Purifier and Priest, for which you’ll have to find new ways to deal with and defeat.
- New surroundings and objectives - Tactical missions are laid out on new environments, such as abandoned cities that have been destroyed by visitors and their bioweapons, as well as underground passages or wilderness zones of grave dangers.
